Throughout the late Winter, Early Spring and Summer, we love to take people on adventures around areas where you would least expect to find wild foods. Surprisingly, the nature loves blessing us with abundance of foods and medicine, even in heavily built-up towns and cities. That's why we think it is so great to show people that everything they need to thrive, literally grows right by them.
From February to August we run our sessions across Urban parks, meadows, woodland walks, beaches and cliff tops.
We invite you to experience the seasonal changes in a new, more aware and exiting way. Every month and season have something different to offer, and our mission is to take you on journey through the different cycles of life happening throughout the year. We promise you that once you get into foraging, your walk will never be the same.
During our Monthly Workshops, running from February to December, you will learn :
How to safely recognise and Identify seasonal edible foods and medicine
4 F's of Foraging
Some traditional folk knowledge and ways of cooking
Conscious and ethical Foraging and Foraging Etiquette
Rules and Legislations
Digital information sheet after the course
While most people get sad when the summer ends, we are super excited to be beginning the woodland wonders in search of many unusual magical fungi. We usually tend to focus on mushrooms which are the easiest, tastiest and safest to identify. Some of the mushrooms we teach about are extremely valuable, costly, rare and super medicinal. Foraging for mushrooms brings immense satisfaction and connection to nature, and the knowledge you acquire over time is one of the most precious things you will learn in your life time.
From September until December, we run bi-monthly workshops.
The sessions are usually based (but not limited to) across different locations in the New Forest.
Great for beginner foragers and people with some of experience of foraging. Families very welcome (significant discount offered)
During this immersive and relaxing course, you'll be introduced to the sensory arts of foraging and forest therapy, and experience the restorative power of connecting back with nature through wild food and an embodied connection to the land.
You will be guided through relaxing and gentle ways to become fully present in your surroundings and tuning into the plant and animal world with the senses our ancestors used to thrive and survive
This is a lovely introduction into seasonal foraging mixed with forest therapy invitations to help you develop a relationship with the land and your own inner nature.
Similar to the usual Foraging Workshop but with addition of wild snacks, simple lunch and lovely foraged tea.
Please let us know in advance about any dietary needs. We usually cook vegetarian meals only but can accommodate for vegan diet if needed.
